Claire
Support Worker
About me
My name is Claire. I am originally from the United Kingdom and have been in Australia since 2006. I have lived in Perth and Sydney before coming to Adelaide in 2019. I have a soft spot for Perth but I really like Adelaide.
I am a nerd. I have been my entire life and I fully embrace this part of who I am. I sometimes wonder what space there would be in my brain if it were not filled with Harry Potter and Marvel trivia. Going to conventions and things, which I usually volunteer to help out at, are very common for me.
I studied film because it's one of my favourite things and I have always loved to read and listen to music. Aside from this, I have played piano since I was in primary school and still do though mostly just for my dogs. Animals are fine by me - goats, sheep and dogs I have experience of.
I became a support worker because I have a passion for helping others and having a positive impact in people's lives. I am currently studying to be a primary school teacher at Flinders University for exactly this reason as well.
Generally speaking I'm very much a 'go with the flow' kind of person so long as I know what's on the agenda. I'm observant, organised and focused when working and will always be where I say I'm going to be.
